This is my chorus

What 25 People Do Every Week:

we have fun - we sing for the joy of it,

we have a very wide and varied repertoire

we are “those people in the Red Jackets”

*** we maintain great bonds and find instant buddies and lifelong friends

we maintain strong ties in the communities of Langley, Surrey, White Rock

*** we have been in Langley for over 50 years!

***our Christmas Charity Concerts have raised $110,000 for the Langley Christmas Bureau

*** we hold special community performances: Remembrance Day Shows, Canada Day celebrations, National anthems at public functions and citizenship ceremonies, cenotaphs, schools and seniors residences.

*** we compete with peers annually as a chorus and as quartets at "high B" level at the Evergreen Division 1 (BC, Washington, Alaska) and at the Evergreen District which includes (BC, AB, Al,WA, OR, ID, MT)

Community Involvement

The First Capital Chorus invites local young singers to a workshop at very low cost to help promote singing in the community.

Langley's mayor Peter Fassbender , has praised the chorus for showing up to provide entertainment at events sponsored by the city such as the recent Langley Days a few month ago when the chorus was literally " singing in the rain".

Rehearsals

We rehearse in a church at 20525 72nd Ave Langley every Thursday Night from 7:00-10:00. Visitors are welcome, and we encourage you to drop by!

We welcome you to listen or get involved and sing with us. Stay for coffee and learn a song. No charge for visitors...
